Gmail Plugin
A Gmail add-on that submits the message you're reading to the Email Threat Analyzer in one click. You deploy it to your own Google account via Apps Script in about 15 minutes, so mail never routes through a third-party marketplace app.
In-inbox analysis
Submit the open email from Gmail's sidebar — no forwarding workflow to teach your users.
You own the deployment
The Apps Script runs under your Google account with permissions you can read in the manifest.
Scoped monitor key
Runs on a Mail Extension monitor key that can only submit email analyses — it cannot read any other account data.
Deploy in four steps
Condensed guide — the full documentation has the complete walkthrough and troubleshooting.
- 1
Create an Apps Script project
Go to script.google.com and click New project. Any Google account works — personal or Workspace.
- 2
Add the two project files
Copy appsscript.json (enable it under Project Settings → "Show manifest file") and Code.gs from our reference script. The manifest declares the add-on's permissions; Code.gs handles key storage and submission.
- 3
Install a test deployment
Click Deploy → Test deployments → Install, then accept the permission prompts. The add-on appears in Gmail's right sidebar when you open an email.
- 4
Authorize and submit
Open an email in Gmail, click the add-on icon, authorize access, and add your key. Create a Mail Extension monitor key from the Monitoring Hub to tie submissions to a monitored member. Submitted emails are analyzed by the Email Threat Analyzer.
Seats and billing
Assign the monitor's submitter to a seated member of your organization and scans are covered by that seat. Extensions require a Seat License. See pricing.
