Seat Licenses & Pricing

A flat monthly price per monitored person for everything that runs on its own.

Blue Lantern has two tiers:

• Free Tier — Every signed-in personal account can run the email, URL, and file analyzers in Scan Now, 30 runs per day, with full reports. No card, no expiry.
• Seat License — $15 per seat per month. One seat covers one monitored person and unlocks continuous monitoring: org-wide Gmail and Microsoft 365 integrations, device agents, browser and mail extensions, the forwarding mailbox, and API keys, with fair use up to 500 runs per seat per day.

What a seat covers

• Active monitoring — Every monitor, integration, and extension requires a seat. Runs from a seated member's monitors are covered by their seat.
• API access — API keys can only be created and used on accounts with an active seat plan. Keys on an account whose plan lapses stop working (they resume automatically when seats are added again).
• Up to 500 runs per day, per seat. A soft cap sized for one person's normal daily volume; going over never triggers charges, but a seat that substantially exceeds it may be throttled until it returns to normal.

How a monitor is covered

1. Seat a member — On the Organization page, assign a seat to the member. Personal accounts hold a single seat for their owner.
2. Create the monitor with that member as its seat assignment — In the Monitoring Hub's Monitors view, set the seat assignment to the member's exact email. Assignments to anyone without a seat are rejected.
3. Runs are covered — That monitor's scans are billed against the Seat License. Org integrations seat members automatically as part of the directory sync.

Shared accounts

Organization accounts run on seats only; there is no Free Tier on a shared account. A shared account without an active seat plan cannot run scans, connect integrations, or issue API keys until seats are purchased.

Managing seats

• Personal accounts — Purchase or cancel a single seat from the Account Overview page.
• Organizations — Admins buy and change seats on the Organization page. Enter the new total (not the number to add); changes are prorated and take effect immediately, and you cannot drop below the number of seats currently in use.
• Cancel — Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Seats keep working until then, after which monitoring stops and API keys pause.

Summary
