Chrome Monitor
A Chrome extension that checks every page a monitored user visits through the URL Threat Analyzer, with no workflow change. Repeat visits are served from cache, and findings land in your Monitoring Hub as they complete.
Scans as you browse
Every page visit is detonated automatically. Sensible skip rules (local hosts, search engines, your own skip-list) and per-URL caching keep noise and cost down.
Scoped monitor key
Runs on a Web Extension monitor key that can only submit URL analysis runs — it cannot read account data.
Central visibility
Every verdict is attributed to the monitored user and searchable from the Monitoring Hub.
Set up in four steps
- 1
Install the extension
Add the Blue Lantern Security URL extension to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store. It also works on Chromium-based browsers such as Edge and Brave.
- 2
Create a Web Extension monitor key
In the Monitoring Hub, create a new monitor with the type Web Extension. Monitor keys are scoped to URL analysis runs only — they cannot read any other account data.
- 3
Add the key in the extension options
Open the extension popup and click the gear icon to open Options, then paste your key and click Test key to confirm it authenticates (the test is free). The key is encrypted at rest in the browser and only ever sent to Blue Lantern APIs.
- 4
Browse normally
The toolbar badge shows scan status; click it to see the current page's findings — SSL checks, login screens, popups, downloads, redirect hops, and domain age. Every run also appears in the Monitoring Hub like any other URL Threat Analyzer run.
Seats and billing
Assign the monitor's submitter to a seated member of your organization and scans are covered by that seat. Extensions require a Seat License. See pricing.
